Competitive winter soccer

Overall details:
Canmore Minor Soccer Club is looking to enter one or more competitive teams into the CMSA winter league. Winter indoor league runs Oct 14 to March 5 with a break Dec 22 to Jan 2. The age and tiering we will register for depends on player interest, however initial interest indicates the birth years of 2013, 2014. Players will have one game per week in Calgary (typically weekends), one practice per week in Canmore, and players are also encouraged to attend the Cavalry training session one night per week in Canmore.
Indoor configuration is 7 v 7 including the keepers.
Player Fees:
Player fees are currently estimated at $700 / player. This cost includes registration with CMSA, CMSC, and indoor space.
Practices:
We plan to run one practice session per week in Canmore on Tuesday nights (time tbd) at ERS school. Players will also be encouraged to join the Cavalry training sessions which will run one night per week in Canmore on Wednesday nights at ERS. (extra cost for this)
Tryouts / First Sessions:
We plan to take 14 players on the team and initial interest is strong, therefore we will run two tryout sessions Wednesday Sept 10 and Friday Sept 12 at Eagle Terrace 5:00 to 6:15pm. No need to sign up...just please show up.  This is open to both boys and girls.
Tournaments:
We are hoping to take this team to at least one tournament. (currently looking at tournament in Edmonton, Calgary and Red Deer).
Head Coach: Our Club Technical Director, Christoph Bruckeder will be the head coach for this team.

 

 

CAVALRY TRAINING

Calgary Cavalry will be here in the winter to run skill training programs for kids U9 - U14.  Sessions will take place at ERS School gym.  Below is a tentative schedule for dates and age splits.
